If you don't want to worry about complicated stuff, really just download EmuDeck (as is said on the about page) and get all of what you need in one go.

This is basically a mirror of the thread post on r/emulators but I'll post it here anyways as an archive, and also because some people keep asking me for info regarding this.

Emulators 101

Most of the following emulators can be downloaded for major OS systems like windows, linux, android and iOS.

  • PS2 - PCSX2/Retroarch. (PCSX2 - The Playstation 2 emulator) (Setup) PCSX2 is the core in retroarch but the standalone is better for tinkering and upscaling. (For RetroArch see the link above) (Note: You need a BIOS to run the emulator)

  • GC/WII - Dolphin. (Dolphin Emulator) (Setup) Even though the core and support is in Retroarch it's just better to use the standalone version.

  • DS - DSMUME. (DS Emulator) (Setup) A bit old but im very glad with this emulator.

From this point onwards, it will be tougher to emulate the following systems due to hardware requirements. If you have a decent gpu, cpu and RAM, then by all means go ahead:

Note: As of 2024 Yuzu and Citra are no longer officially supported, however you can find them on the downloads page. Ryujinx is still getting updates, courtesy of GreemDev.
